Wi-Fi & VPN
There are two options for using the Wi-Fi in the university buildings:
- eduroam: http://www.cms.hu-berlin.de/dl/netze/wlan/config/eduroam
- VPN: http://www.cms.hu-berlin.de/dl/netze/wlan/config/HU-VPN
Eduroam offers the advantage that it can also be used at many other universities with the same configuration. VPN, on the other hand, makes it possible to surf the HU network from home and thus use Springer Link or software with a campus license, for example.
Remote Access
In order to be able to access your data in the pool from home, there is the option of transferring it via FTP. There is, for example, the command line program sftp or the graphical program FileZilla. The servers can be reached at sftp://username@pool.physik.hu-berlin.de.
